紙媒体における字数の絶対的制限は、そこに書かれる文章の「質」を高める強力な役割を、副次的とはいえ担っている。例えば1000字のスペースを与えられて、それを埋めるのにぎりぎりの材料しかもっていないプロは存在しない。通常は5～10倍は書ける素材をもっている。

これはブログなどのwebでも同じことだと思います一一。webというのはそんな制限がない自由さがメリットという反面、だらだらとした文章や流れになりがち。日記的なものだったらいいとしても、結果を出すことを求められるビジネス的な文章なら問題があるかも。これくらいの文章量で、何段くらいでまとめるのが最適か、起承転結的な流れで構成されているかなど、ある程度のテーマや制限があった方が、はるかに書きやすく、質感も良くなるのは間違いないと思っています。
