kml: tien: purple-diary: Portzamparc meets Youri Alekseïevitch Gagarine Certainely one of the worst buildings in Moscow, The Academy of Sciences (similar to the terrible City of Sciences in La Villette, Paris). Conceived in the 1960’s, it was finally built between 1981 and 1990 on the Southwest bank of the Moska, right before the official collapse of the USSR. The building is a scary combination of architectural totalitarism and rigid postmodernism in a uninspired neo-geometric vision of history. Text and photo Olivier Zahm 京都市新景観条例が施行されてから、予想以上の余波が押し寄せている模様。その中には、コカコーラ社のように、トレードマークでさえ看板として掲示すると条例違反となってしまい、撤去したという案件まで一一。この条例をネガティブに受け取らず、新たな発想で取り入れる。建物そのものを目立たせるという意味では、写真のような工夫もあり、かなとは思います。近似的な事例としては、四条烏丸にあるリノベーションビル「COCON KARASUMA：古今烏丸」など。大人の街としてブランディングできれば、観光都市「京都」がさらに印象づけられるので。
